I'm sorry, but I don't think I would have killed it unless I absolutely had to... I'm guessing a zoo would have paid top dollar for that rascal....

Holy crap that thing is huge. You know with it up in the air, and still curled up on the ground, it looks alot longer than 7 feet. I mean im going to guess that officer is of average size and around 6 feet, and the snake is way bigger than him, not just by a foot.

I would have killed him in a hurry, but you are right a zoo would have paid top dollar for that monster.

I agree I wouldnt kill it. Bet it has ate all kinds of critters that I like less than snakes.

It's a long snake but I don't know about big. This one has a big belly, wonder what could be in there.....

I still say that first snake is longer than 7 feet. The animal control guy is probably 5'10-6' and that snake is alot more than a foot above his head. Someone needs to remeasure that thing.


Ranger, that is just freaky. Really freaky.

Wife said that it was proven to be a fake. She said that on mythbusters or something they disproved it as the snake couldnt open its jaw big enough to go over the shoulders and usually choke and die on the shoulders. Which after looking at it, even with the hinge jaw im not sure they could get it open that much.

So Fake?

If you look at this one you can see it is swollen from the body. If it is a photo chop somebody did some good work. I'm no snake expert but I think they can open the mouth pretty far to fit some pretty big stuff into it.

Actually some snake are able to dislocate there jaws while feeding, seeing as some pythons only feed once or twice a yr

Yeah, but there ain't nothin about the snake in the video, just shows the same pics in the article with the interviews from the guy that killed it. It's a link in the middle of the article.

there is a movie out there where a python had gotten a cow or something really big and it was throwing up because it had stayed in its belly to long and was actually killing the snake.. and all snakes unhinge their jaws to eat.
