The motor is getting paint this weekend and will most likely be going back in next week.
still have to strip the tank and use some filler and shoot the paint. and all the misc. things that it needs. (clip on bars, stainless braided brake lines, carb rebuild, custom brake light, etc...)

Sweet, keep us posted here.
You planning on a cafe racer look? Clubman bars, ebay has a few sets.

Thats a classic you have there.

yeah its gonna be a cafe style. I'm not going to be doing clubman bars, I am doing clip ons. The bike wasnt work restoring it was a bitsa bike ( 78 motor, 76 frame, 78 gauges, etc...) eventually I will be removing all of the frame work behind the engine cradle and redo it. as well as adding R1 front forks, and F4i rear swing arm.

Cool, you will love the R1 brakes, I miss that the most from my R1.

They have a old school section with some great ideas and parts.
F4 swing arm require a offset front sprocket?

it will take quite a bit of modification. most likely yes and offset sprocket will be in order.

No im not a member there. but im a memeber at SOHC4.net and Caferacer.net. I will have to check that place out though.

Makes me miss my old 750 four.... I had a 71 model that I found in a barn.... had about an inch of dust on it.... if I can find a picture, I'll post it...

definitly post it up. should have kept it they are bringing in good money restored. of course the sandcast models are bringing in the most. but the K0 and K1 are bringing in pretty good money.

I can't wait to see what it looks like when its done, what do you have planned for the seat?
I like how you could sit low without the stock couch it had before.. good Job ?><L>?

well i got a little bit done this weekend. I got the motor painted. I still need to prep and paint the side cases and the valve cover. I need to find a new alternator cover and it looks like this one has been JB jobbed.

and I might be getting another bike soon. I got offered this bike for $150. minimal rust, was running but then stopped (most likely carb issues). Yamaha XS400. I will either get it running and then turn around and sell it or build it up for the fiance.
