Are 8 lug wheels and tires universal to a certain year?

Yes they are Ford ,Chubby and Dodge 8 lug were all the same. I think it was in 98 or 99 Ford 8 lug went metric.

Yes, your write you can put ford on Chevy but not chevy on ford. It must suck to be on bottom.lol>M<:
