Nope it is up for sale Jon. My 10 year old son is playing on a travel baseball team now and we will be going to quite a few places with a lot of weekend tournaments. I'm looking to buy a 35-37' motorhome so the extra cash will help with that purchase.
I kind of thought the same Cliff. It will be going up on ebay when I get back home.

Sorry Jon.
I've been told the price is to low, anyone else concur?
CliffB

Anyone who would be interested at 12 would also be at 13,900. Not enough difference in those numbers to derail an enthusiast with cash. Once you get past the kind of money someone may have laying around for a toy purchase, say 3-6K, you get in the ball park of more serious collectors. The car has to be worthy of the price, of course, and yours is. If it was completed it would be in the upper teen, 20K range, and there's not much more to do on this truck.
Ranger429
09-15-2010, 05:22 PM
Thanks Cliff. I should just finish it. Rear bumper, redo the seats and hang the door panels and the body is done. Put some new wheels and tires on it and it would be a great truck. It will need some gaskets changed out, probably oil pan and trans pan, both are leakers.

I think it would fetch in the 20K range finished. Think about it, there isn't very many Crew 4x4's around and it is just pure Badass.

You only get one shot to be with your kids. I sold my black 79 bronco in 07 to buy our Jayco travel trailer. Looking back I'll take the memories and camping. I knew I'd find another Bronco and I did. You've got two other awesome trucks. Someone's going to get one fine F250. Raise the price.

And it will only take about 3-4K to get it completely finished with wheels and tires. It might be worth it to finish it.

Exactly what I thought to Cliff. A motorhome will be great for pulling te family together on the long weekend getaways or vacations.

Guess I had better put a lift and some tires on it and finish the assembly, door panels, seat covers and a rear bumper cause it don't look like I'm getting close to that.
3404 page views and 73 watchers. Maybe it will go up by morning.
This is the coach I'm looking at right now:

They are all on there Tony, you want me to load all 3 on the flatbed for you? I don't anticipate all of them will sell but who knows. If anything it gives me a good idea on what the market is doing on these plus you only have to pay ebay now if it sells.
LarryP

What do you mean you only have to pay ebay now?? did paypal stop the rape??
Ranger429
09-25-2010, 07:09 AM
If I read it correctly it is only if it sells then you pay, 100 for less than 10K and 125 for over 10K I think it was. Of course if you ad a ton of pictures you get charged for that but I don't think there is an insert fee.
427pantera
09-25-2010, 01:42 PM
You can get around heavy picture fees by inserting directly into your add with HTML code.
Photobucket and Supermotors(or whatever they call themselves now) generate the code for you, just copy paste it. Just be sure to size them beforehand or it can get messy.

I am looking for something turn key and ready to go Jay. I don't want to have to rebuild one or buy an older peice of junk. A nice diesel pusher is right up my alley. I plan on keeping it for quite a while.

That would be the shit right there. And then if you found a pusher that had a matching paint scheme to the Bronco that would be a big plus.

>M<: Check out this offer I had. His choice of wording in his email makes me think that he thinks I don't know what I'm doing or what I have.
Scott,
Looked over the pics. Appears you did a good job taking care of the
body. You condition the frame any? Either way, from the looks of the
before pics, the vehicle was up to some heavy dury work. Obviously the
drive train needs a once over, not to mention the engine. I've had several
of these before. Built one up mechanically outstanding until my son rolled
it. The other was too pretty to keep on my ranch here in Texas. Yours is
about the condition I want, but needs some work. Put on the door panels,
tighten the bed bolts with my offer of $9000 cash. I'll wire the money to
your banker whom you'll hand over the title to, fill out a Texas DOT
transfer recipt sheet that I will fax over, and I will find a transporter,
I'll have it shipped down as is. I generally don't like to spend time
building up these things now, but I do like their function ability and to
keep up their maintenance as they are fun to work on. I have cash on hand,
no need for credit or permission. I plan to improve on the vehicle. I would
have been glad to pay for a turn key job but as you know, it still needs
work and time to do it. I saw the listing on the web, if you have a better
offer, I'll understand. I am open to suggestions.
I had to tell him I would pass. I have more than 9K in sweat labor. ?><:<
CliffB
09-28-2010, 09:18 AM
Ditto on the black and silver bronco pull-toy, would be a bit heavy but the rigs your're looking at could handle it. Let's see, tighten bed bolts, door panels, condition the frame? As in POR 15, Eastwood rust converter, or shampoo the thing in Revlon's finest and give it a weave?
Ranger429
09-28-2010, 12:38 PM
And a great big offer of 9K to boot Cliff. It is looking like it will need to be completed to get top dollar for it.
I actually picked up some new door panel clips at the swap meet Saturday so I'll end up putting those on myself.

Well I had a 1 hour conversation with a guy in New York this morning about the Bronco. He seems like he is very interested in it and I also told him the front spoiler will probably be taken off. I guess I should make note of that in the auction. I am going to find someone to reproduce it if it is the last thing I do. Of all the ones I really was hoping wouldn't sell the Bronco is of my utmost concern now that it looks like I may not have it in a few days.

The only thing that i see that would make him retract a bid is cause he is also bidding on 4 other vehicles. All at the same time. So im going to say if he wins one, then he will retract his bid on the others. Thats what it appears like to me anyway.

eBay Motors > Chevrolet 1 Seller 1 5d 18h 53m 21s
eBay Motors > Ford 16 Seller 2 1d 17h 42m 28s
Automotive > Chevrolet 2 Seller 3 6d 15h 49m 48s
And only one of them is a Ford which has 16 bids. Maybe he wants my Bronco more than the Chevy's.

Once the crew has left the shop the space will be filled back up again with the old 47 IH KB-1 that my father in law left me. I want to get started on that so I can at least drive it once in a while. It just needs to be cleaned and gone thru to make sure everything is still working OK.

cleaned up the equipment shed this weekend for the new toy - was talking over the 6.0 swap with my buddy a diesel shop owner. Thinking through all the junk that is involved just electronics and than i started to understand why cummins swap are the hot set up. A close friend of mine did a 72 Chevelle (sorry forgot this is a ford forum) Duramax swap over the last two years and he said he'd never do that again. I guess fordcummins.com would be a good place to start for the cummins swap anyone know of a standalone ECM for the 6.0 or what is involved getting it into the 79 crew.

Shocked Larry?
There was a guy that swapped a 6.0 in a newer Bronco. It can be done if you find a complete donor rig. The cummins is a much easier swap to do and has been done hundreds of times so the help will be easier to find.
redmt79
10-06-2010, 09:18 AM
There are getting to be a lot of aftermarket parts available for the Cummins swaps. And you have a few different ways to go. If you do a '94-98 12v, it is basically a one wire hookup, besides your gauges. The '03 and newer common rail engines are more complex with computer controls, but can be done with patience. Personally I would stay away from the '89-93 or '98-02 engines.
These swaps are getting so popular that it is starting to become difficult to find donor trucks. But well worth the time and effort IMHO.
