Well, The heater core went out on my 88', I sold it for $1000, I traded my 86' f150 for this:
1986 Bronco XLT(god I wanna put 1979 Ranger XLT). 351w H.O. , c6, Np208, 9", 3.50 gears front and rear, front and rear sway bars, Weiand high rise intake, Can't figure out what Holley carb it is but I'm rebuilding a 4180 vac secondary for this thing for a little better gas mileage, factory dual front shocks, and a factory tachometer(again, what are the odds??)When I got it, it was leaking oil like I don't know what, found out the oil pan bolts were all three complete turns loose, the tranny bolts were 1 1/2 turns loose, the valve cover bolts were a 1 turn loose and it needed a rear main seal, and a front main seal.
We took it to my uncles house and for a week and a half fought changing the rear main and finally got it(didn't have tran jack the first week) and we also took out the tranny and transfer case as all one unit. But anyway it is all buttoned up now, still needs a Front main, so I have to buy a Timing cover set and it comes with it, I'm gonna put a new timing chain and gears in since I have to take it that far, and a new harmonic balancer.

Looks like you've got a lot going for you with this one, be proud! That's a clean straight truck, plenty of potential there.

Thanks! this one is my dad's and he really doesn't like putting on mods or else I would've put my Hedman headers on it, so right now I am looking for either a pickup(73-79 and 87-91) or a bronco(78-79 and 87-91) for myself in the range of 500-600 dollars.

Nice one, but beware of that aircleaner. When the element get some age on it it breaks up and gets sucked in.

Yeah I have also been told it could catch fire and fall into the intake if the bko ever backfires.

I gotta get some primer for the hood and the roof top. And I have to put a new skin on the bottom of the t-gate to get rid of rust, or just replace the whole thing.

Got a new starter for it yesterday, it sounds a little better when starting but I have to swap out the flywheel on it now for one I have in my shed that I had a new ring put on.
Also got some Monroe monro-matic rear shocks for it yesterday, and got em' on today, now I am going to put two shocks on the front next month and then another two in Jan.

Okay, put on some new rubber valve cover gaskets because its been leaking around them, tossed out the old brittle cork gaskets, just waiting for the Hi-Temp Permatex to cure now.

Well been awhile since I posted here, I am in the process of converting this gas eating beast into a fuel friendly beast. Went to my local pull-a-part and got all this for $92.55:
Aluminum 2bbl 351w intake
2150 carb
Stock steering wheel with cruise
egr valve
ignition coil.

gotta go back tomorrow and look for the choke heat tube and element, and if I can't find it I already have a flat piece of steel ready to block it off. And got my 2150 to run on my offenhauser without the kit.

Well time to update this, got my intake swapped, broke my 2150 so I am running a 600cfm 4160 on it for now, noticed my brakes pulsating the other day, pulled my driverside tire off and found the studs of the damned brake pads ground into the back of the rotor.... so now I gotta change the rotors as the passengerside is just the same, while I am at it I will grease the wheel bearings and anything else, do the insides of the lockouts need grease or do they grease themselves?

The lock outs dont get packed with grease just rub some on with your finger,But they work best if you just coat them with ATF and let the excess drain off. Dont forget to grease the spindle bearing.

Turns out only needed the driverside, passenger side only a light turning, cleaned the grease out of both the inner hubs and wheel bearings and basically anything that had old grease in it, repacked the wheel bearings and put in new oil seals, put on the new pads and now we got to bleed the brakes. To Be Continued.

Now then next on the list to replace is gonna be the lockouts, I'm gonna go with Mile Marker's part no. 302 and then all new brake parts on the rear.

Well an update to this, replaced my front crankshaft seal today and put some permatex on the front of the oil pan just as a precaution as I didn't know if it was leakig or not, so say hello to my leak free Bronco! I'd take a pic but my camera batteries are on charge, on a side note here is an idea of just how bad that leak was.

Well the multi-piece old ass oil pan gasket that is on the bronco decided to take a crap and is blowing out, it leaked out 2 quarts of oil in 25 miles yesterday, so I have to fix that tomorrow, I bought a one piece Fel-Pro oil pan gasket, steel cored with steel eyelets, we'll see if this one wants to go out.
Also broke down and had to replace my Flexplate using the good ol' "redneck runway" 4 pieces of 3/4" plywood and 2 days it was done, all it cost me was tranny fluid and some more scars so people can ask if I was lashed when I was a kid....

Oil pan gasket isn't to bad to R+R, might have lift the motor up to get the pan off depending on wether or not you have a lift on it.

Well got it on. gonna have to wait for the Permatex to cure so I can start it, which will be tomorrow.

Wasn't able to get the pan gasket replaced, something about a bottle jack and a bunch of wood and me underneath doesn't mix, I've finally got it knocked down to leaking about a quart every 800-1000 miles so thats good for now.
I've been contemplating what color wheels I want, I'm gonna use the wheels I got w/ the 79(some super thick wheels) but am undecided on the color, I'm leaning more towards gloss black rather than this flat black:

Next week if all goes according to plan this week, the fuel pump is getting replaced, both rear wheel cylinders, maybe the tail light lenses, and I'm finally gonna primer the Hood, Roof, and anywhere rust is except the front fenders they will be replaced, I'm getting a set of Superwinch Lockouts for christmas, when we get another vehicle and park the Bronco(which is when I plan my first true Resto) I'll put em on it.
Did a tune-up yesterday, Champion 8mm wires, Bosch Platinums, KEM parts Cap and Rotor bug, needs a oil change now.

Oh and I'm on the hunt for a set of 31x10.50's for the Black wheels as that is what I plan on running on the Bronco now.
