fried coil?

I think i pooched the coil on my MSD system in the new to me bronco .... before i read the instructions online, i hooked up my tach to the positive side of the coil.... no fire. Since then i have found that the tach hooks to the box itself. I removed the tach wire completly and still no fire.
i left it at that for now.... hopefully i didnt screw up the msd box itself.I'll have to see if the coil is giving off any spark, following the actual troubleshooting instructions :dummy

Any insight appreciated.

Just an update .... After pulling all the wire looms i had painstakingly put on , i found a connector from the msd box to the battery had came apart .... :dummy

nothing goes easy on these projects ... :rolleyes:

Atleast it was simple fix.
I fought a few after market boxes before and dont envy you.
