I never was a fan of brown, but that is a nice looking truck...

Thanks...I'm not a big fan of brown either, but I do love Ford dk brown metallic. The paint was crappy when I bought it, but the price was right when I was in college, and I HAD to have a 79 Bronco. I bought it from the original owner who was a Ford parts guy in Charlotte ( so I got some NOS parts in the deal). I purchased it to be a weekend warrior, ended up being more of a DD, but now I have the funds and a little more know how to turn it into the trail/expedition rig I want it to be. I rebuilt the 400 in it last summer, so she'll be good for a while. Gonna pull the C6 and have a buddy rebuild it. Also planning on 6" Deavers all the way around, a locked 60 up front and a locked 70 in the rear with 4.88's in each. There's a little bit of rust on her that'll probably get cut out and new panels welded in. Then do some light body work and probably hit it with fresh dark brown metallic...heavy on the metallic. For some reason, the name Big Ugly Bronco, or Bub for short, is starting to attach itself to this rig. Anyway, those are the plans, but she's treated me well so far...just out growing the stock/mild specs.

Nice rig... reminds me of my first 79 I bought back when I was in high school, with the exception of mine having rust holes in the quarters and lacking the lift and beauty of yours

Thanks for all the congrats guys. It's nice knowing other folks appreciate the blood sweat and cash that get sunk in a rig. It makes those times you wanna burn it to the ground go a little easier.

NICE Bronco !! I can't wait to get mine painted ! It was the same colors as yours except it had the same color as your cap in the middle ! I am trying to find a place that will paint my truck but I cant find anyone to paint it yet because it won't fit in the spray booth !I might see about getting small f250 tires to see if it might fit !

UT, Sorry about the Lug nuts... They have them at A-Z, Kragens, Advance, etc. I dont think they are that Much ???
