I had to replace my turn signal switch recently. The new one did not come with the copper contact pin, for contacting the steering wheel. It is a 79 with tilt and cruise on the wheel. Anybody know of a source for these spring loaded pins besides a junk yard? I ruined my original. It looks like from 78 to 01 is the same style but not same switch.

This is the copper pin that rotates with the turn signal canceling pin. It is positioned in a ring that is close to the shaft which is close to the same diameter as the steering shaft near the switch.

Just test drove without and everything still works. Maybe I don't need it.

Does your horn still work?

Yes cruise works and horn works signals cancel as well. It appears that maybe it is an extra ground after looking at the wiring diagram.

If it all works let it fly.
