I had a couple of them so it migh be one of those..basically all they are are the 1970-71 D0VE-C head 360 HP (pre-SAE rating) 460 engine produced 'later on'. The newest one I found was actually out of a '76 fire chief's car (LTD?) but the car was the factory 'police interceptor' package.

No idear when Ford stopped producing it but I know it went on for a while; they also provided basically the same base engine - differnt cam - to OMC who sold it as the "King Cobra" 460 with 370HP as its rating. I ended up with a couple of those too; they were not well regarded by the marine community because they didn't hold up well on crappy 87-octane marina gas. Stopped sellin 'em in the mid 80s.

More or less just like the 365hp Lincoln 460

More rather than less. Yup. All same; only the 429SCJ was higher output..with its massively valved and ported D0OE heads.... I have a pair of those on the 460 in our last surviving competition mud bogger.
