Found this one over at another Bronco site and ended up buying it from a member in Ca. The way it looked when he emailed me pics of it.

After quite a few days of sanding. A solid rust free Bronco evolved.

Picking it up from the body shop some 3 years later.

After installing all of the good stuff back on it.

I found probably the last A+A front bumper spoiler.

One other thing that needed attention was the motor. I rebuilt the old 400 from my 250 as the one in the Bronco was shot. I also had to have a trans rebuilt for it as there were 4 mounting boss' were busted off the trans case.

Probably one of the best mods was to put in the Dakota Digital gauge packs. I might end up doing this to my 250 later this year.

And probably one of the other good things that was done was the hard top to soft top conversion. I cut up an old hard top to mount the soft top to.

I loaded this Bronco up with about every available option that there was. I put in an NOS factory CB system, lighted vanity visor, it had the GT bar, I had the factory high back buckets reupholstered with the factory correct cloth from SMS Fabrics. All of these items were factory NOS Ford pieces that I put back on, an NOS grille shell, grille, headlight doors, front and rear turn signals, side marker lights, underhood light, drip rail molding, front fender and door upper molding. I also ordered some new molding from Dennis Carpenter for it.

Nice. I love the hard top/soft top. I've always liked a silver/black combo.

Sweet truck.

That's a tough question. I love both of these trucks but if the nod was to one it would be the Bronco. Nothing better than cruising with the top rolled up.

That is one sharp Bronco. You did a great job on it.

Thank you.

Thanks to you to Kaiza. It will be in an upcoming issue of Bronco Driver magazine. It also made FSB's calender this year and is the January Bronco. Great way to start the year.

Well I finally got the build sheet for the Bronco today. Originally came equipped with the Ca emission junk on it.

I have to pull the pan and put a new oil pump in it, pressure drops off to 0 at idle once it is warmed. I also have to replace a leaking freeze plug behind the passenger side motor mount to.

That's pretty cool Scott. I have to ask though, can you post what you went through for that? I tried the link in one of the threads...but it was for Canada.

I got it from the address that I posted in that thread. I'd have to dig around the internet to get the USA contact #. Have you tried calling that phone #?

Hey Ranger... You ever look into reproducing that front spoiler??? Also on that soft top, i thought it "snapped" onto the body( a draw back)... did you have to shorten/ trim it when you snapped it to your topper frame?

Ranger429
09-01-2009, 01:39 PM
I haven't looked into it yet. I have been giving some thought and eventually probably will. I know it would sell once done it is just a matter of finding the guy to reproduce it.

The snaps are in the same spot they were in prior to my making a hardtop fit. No adjustments were made to the top. It is a little long in the back by an 1" or so but I just snap the top to the back corner of the hardtop.

Is that a kayline soft top? Maybe i'm thinking of another brand that had those snaps mounted to the actual body. ...

your using an old top is ingenious ...

STC top, thanks!

I like the way you used the old top, the one thing I've never liked about putting the top on Superbronco is the way that the half-top is attached using the aluminum. If you have any more pics on the way that you did this I'd love to see them!
