Hey everybody! how's it? i've been registered here for a while, and i know a few of youse guyse from over at FSB and other such sites..... it's nice that there's a place just for us 78/79 guys! we can expand more on our rides and not have to sift through all the later model garbage >I

here's "mah rahd"

it's a 1979 bronco xlt ranger, with somewhere between 158K and 58K miles on it... it's awfully clean for 158k on the interior, but hey... who knows!?

pardon its rough, rusty appearance... it's just got a little bit of surface stuff. nothing is rusted out on it, just looks like it.

haven't needed much as far as mods go, but this 140amp 3g sure made everything brighter! really helped me track down some of my electrical problems too. i LOVE this upgrade, and i suggest it to any of you who like bright lights and things to work right. i got the internally regulated unit, so it was one wire.
after all this getting set for running the 1/2 ton axles forever......... something went TERRIBLY WRONG!!!!
i found this for 200 dollars:

it's got a d60 front!!!!! i'm going to try to put it into the bronco running the coil/rad arm setup still, and try to keep stock height as well....
and then, i traded a toyota truck for:

it's not pretty, but it sure is gonna change the way i drive :D a '95 460 with EFI!
so, that's where we are right now. i found a 10.25 LS with 4.10s as well, but i have no pics of it. think i might jsut run the d60s from the f250.

so yeah, there's where i am so far. the truck runs and drives like a champ. it's going to be goin 700 miles right on up here from Texas to Kansas, where i go to school. with my MOM driving!

hope you enjoy the buildup! i'm sure i'll enjoy all of y'all's!

btw, thank you scott for the invite to the forum!

Little late here...but welcome to the site. I have a question about that 3g swap...is it the same process as swapping one on a later model? I'd be interested in a little write up or what you did for the swap.
