77.5 F-150 (originally had 351M), HP Dana 44, 9", C6, NP205, Super Cooling Rad, 40 gallon fuel tank.

Nothing special 460 w/Autofab motor mounts, Holley TA, L&L shorty headers, Flowmasters, Vintage Air, 35 Goodyear MTRs, 3" or 4" lift (? - still fits in the garage), C6, NP205, 4.10 gears Detroit Locker w/Nodular Center, open front, tube style front grille.

I never saw the gas mileage change between the 460 and the tired/failing 351M. But it now has some get up and go.

Still needs a lot of work IMHO. I've had a lot of fun wrenching and wheeling it. Truck makes camping trips, towing duty, wheeling, dump/scrap-yard/junkyard runs, and occassionally gets me to work. I've got a long wish list - money permitting.

When I first got the truck.

Next up is a rebuilt C6 and new flexplate as mine is cracked. Also a radiator shroud!

Vintage Air now in. I still don't understand how this truck couldn't have had factory air being in AZ.

Is that one of the Vintage air universal kits. I've been wanting to add a/c and I'm debating going that route or just finish scrounging the stock parts and piece one together.

It is the Vintage Air Compac model. It's a universal fit model as there is not specific fit kit from Vintage Air for the "Big" Bronco or 73-79 F series.

If your truck did not come with A/C then you have to decide between getting all the factory (or dealer installed) A/C stuff or getting an aftermarket kit. It's probably cheaper to get the factory A/C unit and install it on your vehicle, but you do have to contend with it being 30+ years old and originally designed for R12. Newer universal kits are nice but you spend some $$$.
